Uric acid occurs from the natural breakdown of your body’s cells and the foods you consume, and most of it is filtered out by the kidneys and expelled from your body into the urine.

4) Drink lots of water. This helps your body stabilize uric acid to a normal level, and dilutes the acid, stimulating the kidneys to remove more effectively.
5) Cook with olive oil. Olive oil contains monounsaturated fats that remain stable at high temperatures. It is rich in vitamin E and has large amounts of anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
6) Remember vitamin C. Studies have indicated that vitamin C increases the body’s ability to excrete uric acid. You can take supplements or increase your intake through diet. Foods like oranges, lemons, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers and broccoli are naturally very high in vitamin C.
7) Maintain a healthy weight. There is another reason to avoid fructose and alcohol, Obesity itself is a risk for gout since obese people produce more uric acid and their kidneys can not extract it quickly. Studies have shown that the risk of gout is almost double in those who are obese, and occurs at a younger age.
High levels of uric acid can be caused by a number of factors, but simple diet and lifestyle changes can help you start reducing it immediately. Gout is a painful condition, so it is best to intervene naturally before reaching that point.
